University of Wisconsin–Madison

“As we introduce new students to Our Wisconsin, we are introducing them to their new home at UW and in the dorms and to the expectations we have for our community. As I have said many times in this space, a top priority of mine is that we have a campus where all students feel welcomed, valued, and supported.”  ~Chancellor Blank, Blank’s Slate (March 2017).

Beginning Fall 2017, Our Wisconsin inclusion workshops will be available to all undergraduate first-year students. The workshop features structured dialogue, activities, and reflection. Each workshop is led by a co-facilitation team, including Badger Way peer facilitators, and a staff or faculty facilitator.

In partnership with University Housing, all students living in the residence halls will be assigned an Our Wisconsin inclusion workshop by house. The workshop will be assigned during early move-in periods to the residence halls, or Monday through Thursday, from 6 PM to 9 PM following the first day of class.
